FileSmuggle – Refund & Cancellation Policy

At FileSmuggle (a trading name of Tinker Trade LTD), we want to ensure you have a seamless experience "smuggling" your large files across the globe. Because we provide immediate access to digital resources (bandwidth and storage), our policy is designed to be fair to both the creator and the Company.
 
1. Subscription Cancellation
 
You may cancel your FileSmuggle subscription at any time.
 
- How to Cancel: Cancellations must be made via your Account Dashboard settings.

- Effect of Cancellation: Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to your paid features (e.g., Ultra 20GB links) until the end of your current billing cycle.

- No Future Charges: Once cancelled, you will not be charged again. We do not "pro-rate" or offer partial refunds for the remaining days in a monthly cycle.
 
2. Digital Goods "Cooling-Off" Period (UK Law)
 
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you typically have a 14-day right to change your mind. However, for digital content:
 
- Immediate Access: By upgrading to a Basic, Plus, Pro, or Ultra account and initiating a file transfer, you expressively consent to the immediate performance of the contract.

- Waiver of Right: You acknowledge that once the digital service has begun (i.e., you have uploaded a file or used the "Pro" bandwidth), you lose your right to a 14-day "cooling-off" refund.
 
3. Refund Eligibility
 
We generally do not offer refunds once a file has been "smuggled" (transferred) using a paid plan. However, we will consider refund requests in the following specific cases:
 
- Technical Failure: If a documented system-wide error prevented you from accessing the service for more than 48 consecutive hours.

- Duplicate Billing: If our payment processor (Stripe/PayPal) accidentally charged you twice for the same period.

- Unauthorized Use: If you can prove your account was accessed fraudulently (subject to our investigation).
 
4. How to Request a Refund
 
If you believe you are eligible for a refund based on the criteria above:
 
1. Email support@filesmuggle.com within 7 days of the transaction.

2. Include your Transaction ID and the email address associated with your Tinker Trade LTD account.

3. Describe the technical issue in detail.
 
Note: Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
 
5. Chargebacks & Disputes
 
We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any billing issues. Filing a "Chargeback" with your bank without contacting us first is considered a violation of our Terms of Use and will result in the immediate and permanent banning of your account and the deletion of all active file links.
